Biography
A mother, spokesperson and entrepreneur Dr. Dafna Ahdoot is a pediatrician who takes care of her patients as if they were her own children. Dr. Dafna approaches each patient as a whole and provides personal time and attention. Advocating for children’s health and safety is her top priority as in her words, “kids don’t have a voice”, so through listening, hearing, and observing both the parent and child she can advocate for and treat the child thoroughly.
Dr. Ahdoot received her bachelors in Neuroscience from UCLA and her medical license from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her training at LA County USC Pediatrics Residency program. Thereafter she has worked at several pediatric offices in the LA County. She is currently working at Roy Medical Group and sees new newborns at Providence Tarzana Medical Center.
Dr. Ahdoot is proud to serve a multicultural community. She is fluent in Hebrew, Spanish and conversational Farsi. She is thereore able to cater to patients from a variety of backgrounds in their own language, thus forming an understanding and providing a one-of-a-kind level of comfort. She provides concierge medicine for patients who prefer staying at home and this includes, sick visits and newborn visits as well. Dr. Dafna has appeared on numerous TV programs including The Doctors Show and Dr. Phil providing medical advice about screen time for kids, ADHD, SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), contraceptive use in teens, choking harzards in kids and better eating habits in kids. An active member of the American Academy of Pediarics Dr. Ahdoot continues to hold leadership positions in the California Chapter 2 AAP as a member at large assisting in informing pediatricians about CME opportunities and continuing their membership in the Chapter and nationally.
Dr. Ahdoot is also a pediatric expert withness. She provides medical expertise and opinion based on her knowledge, education, skills, and research in pediatric medicine. She provides independent, impartial, and unbiased evidence to a judge or jury about the facts of civil and criminal cases involving but not limited to medical malpractice, negligence, personal injury, and pharmaceutical companies. She takes a comprehensive approach to every case, looking at all details and surrounding circumstances while including peer-reviewed research to support her opinions. The case is discussed in medical and non-medical terms when necessary, to explain the information in a clear manner to a non-medical audience.
